Skills for Life
Welcome to Greenacre Academy
I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher at Greenacre Academy. We strive to enable all students to achieve their full potential, academically and creatively, through sports and the development of personal, business and life-skills in order to fully equip our students for the world of work. We pride ourselves on the positive relationships that exist within the school and the engaging, friendly learning environment.
My ambition is to ensure that Greenacre Academy students are exposed to a wide and varied curriculum, with experts from the real world of business regularly attending the Academy to speak with our students and educate them on the many careers available. Through our ‘Skills for Life’ strategy, we aim to be the first choice for employers when they look to recruit young people, as well as ensuring that those who want to follow an academic path in further education are given comprehensive advice and support.
Greenacre Academy provides an exceptional learning experience for our students and our commitment to academic excellence and personal wellbeing is at the core of everything we do. Central to our school motto, ‘Skills for Life’, is the firm belief that students learn best within a secure, well-disciplined learning environment and we are committed to supporting all of our students on their Greenacre Academy journey.
As a ‘good’ school (Ofsted, May 2018), we lend our expertise and support to other schools and we are part of a successful Trust. The schools within our trust are all on an upward trend and fully support one another.
Many visitors remark on the positive relationships between the students and their very capable teachers. We know how challenging it can be to choose the right school for your child but when you do choose Greenacre Academy, we know this will be the start of a long, happy journey with our school and we warmly invite you to be part of our future.
