Free School Meals
Reapplying for Free School Meals online
As school meals become healthier, Medway Council would like to increase the number of children receiving free school meals.
Student Services are pleased to advise you of an exciting new online free school meal service which has now been launched. You can submit your claim for free school meals via this quick and easy online service.
Please visit: https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/medway/ and make an online application. Or click here to download the form.
This service is a quick and easy application process and will ensure that your child’s eligibility for free school meals is processed with the most up to date information and will provide on-going checks throughout the year with no need for you to make further applications.
Even if your child is already in receipt of free school meals, Medway Council requires ALL claimants to submit new applications online to ensure that they continue to receive a meal each day at school where eligible. If your child is currently in Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2), you will also be required to apply online to ensure your child’s school gets the relevant funding to support with education.
If you feel you are unable to reapply online please contact your child’s school who will be able to assist you.
If you have children under 19 years of age and still in full time education, your child may be entitled to receive a free school meal if you receive either:
- Income Support;
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance;
- The guarantee element of State Pension Credit or support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 (www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts1999/ukpga_19990033_en_1.htm);
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance;
- Child Tax Credit (but are not entitled to Working Tax Credit) and your annual income (as assessed by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs) does not exceed £16,190.
